Got a call last night and email with some pics...this one is on it's way home. I can't wait! I saw a knife similar to this on Joe's table in Louisville a few years back and had kicked myself a 100 times for not buying it. Thanks to a forumite I was put back in touch with Joe and made an order for this one. Joe calls this a Coke Bottle, though it's not exactly what I think of as a Coke Bottle. I'll get some more pics together when it gets here and some specs. Joe didn't have the exact measurement, but it's a big un:D

Joe Allen Needs more appreciation..Fine Knives from this Mans Bench

That is a good looking knife. Nice and slim, should be a joy to use. Enjoy it.

I wouldn't really call that a coke bottle pattern myself - but that's beside the point -- it's an awesome looking knife, and that shield is really sweet. A great variation on the traditional patterns.

Joe is making some great stuff and fit and finish is on the money. I may have one coming soon too.:D

Looks great Durwood. BTW....what bone did he use on it?

I really like the shield that he uses and how well it goes with the shape of the knife. Great piece Darwin.

That one really turned out nice. Joe does really great work! His grinds are perfect.
