Here's one Sherpa and an old Nepal hand who will not be climbing Everest in record time -- or any other time for that matter.

It is 10AM and here we sit in the living room at Anamnagar. We still have not figured out what the daily routine (called "program" in Nepal) is going to be -- that would never work for climbers who are up and at it before dawn.

Pala and Uncle Bill are on the far backside of the climbing curve. Only claim to fame, Sir Edmund visited at Pala's place up in Solu and Yangdu went to college on Hillary scholarship. Tensing worked for Pala's dad when he was a boy.
