The only knives I bought at the first knife show I went to (1998) were Spyderco's.
The knives came with a small brochure of other Spyderco knives. The knife that stood out for me in that catalog was the Jess Horn C27. I called to try to order one, but I found out they were out of production. I did find out that when the were available they sold for over $350...a wee bit over my budget back then.
A couple of years later here on BFC Sal Glesser was looking for suggestions for a knife that would appeal to the ladies. I made a suggestion that Sal thought was interesting and as a way to say thanks he sent me a knife.
This one.
This knife is still a star in my collection and IMO one of the finest folders ever made, production or custom.
