Here's something I wondered.

I can't remember if it was Munk, or Dan, or who, but somebody said one of the reasons we were getting a lot of antler handles was Yangdu found a source for it in Reno and had been sending it over.

I have a fairly good size chunk maya 2X7 and around 4 and a half or 5 feet long of black walnut that my friend cut out of a log that we cut off the hayfield here.

Anyway it's been drying more than a year now and I'd be happy to mail it whole to Yangdu, or even cut it into little blanks for her to send to the kamis free of charge, it's just setting under my cellar porch and I'd be happy to see it used.

I don't want to bug her but if Munk or any of you guys that talk to her on a semi regular basis want to ask her I'd be happy to send it to her free of charge to help. Walnut is fairly sturdy and would make a decent handle I believe.

Last year we all gathered as much antler, bone, exotic wood and stuff as we could and shipped it to Nepal.
I've lost the address now, but Yangdu can give it to you when she gets back.
I bought some antlers on ebay and just had them ship it to Nepal.
I LOVE the antler-handled small knives of HI.
(I had to assassinate someone to get my antler handled kerambit)

From what I've gathered....it's not all that unusual for a box of materials to suddenly show up at Yangdu's place. Not that it happens every day...but more often than I had previously thought.

So, my advice? Cut it into blocks, pack it up tight and drop a note in it. Make sure to have her tell the kamis to call it "USA walnut".

Hey...it was your first paying job as a Ninja, and besides, you enjoyed doing it.
