Newly stripped and polished, with Oregon Fal'ers wood grips on it.

Big Difference!

Thinking about staining the grips, but haven't decided yet. If I do, it'd probably be like a dark Walnut.

Sweet lookin' blade.

But then I'm a little partial to that look my self ...

Mine in teak:

They'll get darker as you use them anyway... I would probably rub them down with a little boiled linseed oil to prevent checking.

I sprayed a deft laquer on them to keep them clean looking while i had them hanging around. make sure you sand that off before doing any staining.

Those look awful. Y'all send 'em to me, and I'll do my best to fix 'em. :D

Seriously, those are some sweet set-ups. Thanks for posting them.

Sand those down, and rub in several applications of BLO. The result will be a great look, and they will be slick, but grippy at the same time. If you stain them, that's cool, but I prefer the look of natural woods.
Great looking BK-2 either way you go.

Okay...so if I pick up a BK2, who is will to pimp it for me cause I hate grivory and blades that are completely coated.

Thanks, Keith kbamhi@aol.com

Stained the handles a slightly darker color today, AND a new box of Work Sharp belts showed up with the UPS man, so it's sharp as hell now too.
