It's time to get this going. I'm calling this "Where's the Box?"
Anyone who wants to get in on this awesomeness, READ THIS ENTIRE POST. Don't skip anything. You might miss something important that will be the difference between you getting to participate and you being hurtfully yelled at and shunned forever.
The rules:
1) Do NOT participate if you cannot afford to ship the box back out within 4 days of receiving it.
2) Each person will get 4 (four) days to decide what they want and ship the box to the next person unless another agreement is met due to extenuating circumstances. If there are extenuating circumstances, you must email ME and I will help you out and inform the next person.
3 Take what you need from the box. No more, no less. There is no maximum number of items you may take out, but don't get greedy. This whole thing is being done under the honor system. We trust you. Don't give us a reason not to anymore. Keep in mind, someone has your address.
4 If you want to add to the box before sending it on, that is encouraged, but not mandatory. You do NOT have to add anything to the box. You simply must be able to ship it to the next individual within the allotted timeframe.
5 Do not add too much to the box. Keep in mind, we are trying to keep this Flat Rate, so don't increase the weight so much that the shipping rate goes up.
6 If the box becomes damaged, please replace the box. I don't expect the box to last forever.
7 When the box is shipped on, inform the next person receiving the box so they know when to expect it and can track it.
8 Participants must be 18 years of age or older and have an address inside the CONUS. Sorry youngbloods and overseas brothers. That's just the stink of the cheese.
9 This is for RAT Pack members ONLY. Do NOT try to participate in this if you are not a RAT Pack member.
10 You may post in this thread ONE TIME. All your are required to post is your RAT Pack number. THAT IS IT. Do not post "I want to participate. How do I get a RAT Pack number?" or anything else of that nature. Do not post ANYTHING other than a RAT Pack number. Any questions must be PM'ed to me or emailed to me, and it had better not be anything stupid like "how do I get a RAT Pack number", or you will get a return email that will insult you and hurt your feelings. DO NOT post anything like "cool idea. I won't be in on it but this is really cool anyways." Thank you for appreciating the coolness of this, but don't post. It's not that I don't like you. This thread just can't get cluttered up. NO JOKE POSTS. I know someone is just itching to post "how do I get a RP#?" just to screw with me. Please DON'T DO IT! Set a good example here.
11 Don't repack the box like an idiot. Pack it well so that stuff doesn't move around in there. We don't want stuff to get damaged during shipping.
How the first person will be chosen:
Everyone who wants to be in on this, post ONE TIME in this thread. ONE TIME ONLY. Post ONLY your RAT pack number. THAT'S IT! Don't post a damn thing else. NOTHING!. This is the most simple thing in the world. If you have to ask a question, PM or email me. DO NOT ASK IT HERE. Anyone who posts anything other than their RAT pack number will not be happy with the response they get. If for any reason, you can't follow these rules, you are an idiot and I will hate you for the rest of your life. None of that easy going, "oh it's ok. No harm done." NO! If you can't follow directions YOU WILL BE SORRY!
How it will work:
Everyone's RP number will be put into a random number generator. People will receive the package in the order the random generator plops them out. I will create the ordered list from everyone's number that posts in this thread. When the ordered list is compiled, I will create a new thread that will be the official "Where's the Box" thread. The first post will have the ordered list in it with everyone's BF screen names next to their RP number. I will email the first person on the list for their address. I will ship the package to the first person on the list. Then, they will email the second person on the list for their address. When they have the next person's address, they will ship the package to them. Each time someone receives the box, they will send me an email confirming that they have the box and I will mark their RP number and name off the list. When the last person gets the box, they will ship it back to me. Then, depending on how this party went, we will figure out whether or not we want to do another one. If for any reason anyone on the list needs to be removed or moved further down the list, you must email me and let me know and I will adjust it accordingly. Just so we're clear, I don't particularly want to do that, so please think this through before you agree to be in on this.
Try to keep stuff survival or wilderness related.
This is as easy as it gets. There should be no questions or problems with this. Please read this thoroughly. Read it two or three times if you need to. Please don't ask me a question that has already been answered in this thread.
There is one very important thing I want everyone to do. I will be including a piece of paper in an envelope in the box. I would like everyone who receives this box to write a little something on it and pass it along with the box. Whether it be a thank you, and funny note, etc. I don't care. Just write something on it and pass it along. Don't forget to print your name and date it. That way we can tell who wrote what. When the box finally makes its way back to me, I'm going to put it all together and see what everyone had to say. Should be pretty entertaining. If the piece of paper fills up, just start a new piece of paper and include it in the envelope with the previous piece. DO NOT accidentally throw the envelope away when you have your turn with the box.
Ok. I think I covered all the bases.
This thread will stay going until January 12th. Get your RP numbers in before then!
