Hello Everyone!

My grand mother died recently and I got my share of heritage. Not much but enough I could buy comfortably following knives and leave money for living and I'll be taking off to Australia after I graduate in 6 months in luck.

What did I bought:

Northfield 250109 Wharncliffe Jack
Queen small Dan Burke Barlow
Case Ichthus series Mini Trapper
Parker-Frost Large Stockman
Parker-Frost Trapper

All these are in order/paid so, I think I'm having Christmas early.

Sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing but it seems you've made some wise decisions about how you spend your inheritance. Well done.

I'm also sorry that your Grand-Mother passed away (I still have 1 Grand-Mother left). I recall when one of my Grand-Fathers passed away & getting some $. Back then I was pretty young, though & needed a car, so that's what I bought with that $.

Your use of the $ will probably get you far longer enjoyment out of them than I did out of that car.

so sorry about your grand-mother--you picked some awsome knives--

She'd probably lift you off the ground by your ear if she knew you were spending her hard-won money on knives...

Hi,

My condolences about your Grandmother. But those slippies are nice sounding! I'm looking forward to seeing them when you get them. Particularly the Parker-Frosts.

Dale

Lol, thanks guys. Well, my Grandmother actually inherit his brother, who died two weeks before she died. Since she was sole benificiary she got all. But then she died after long illness and complications due heart and alzheimer's etc and what she inherit was split with 7 ways.

Thanks guys. I'll be posting pictures when I get them. Even my grandmother was never that close to us due she never really accepted that my father married my mother, she still was part of the family and mother to my father.

That made me laugh too :D I think I could have defended my self by saying: But Grandma, most of the money goes when I am going to get some nice great grandchildren's for you... :D Always play the children cards, unless they play it first.

Like some might know I got bit heritage and I've put now 1000€ on knives (they cost alot in Nativelly in Europe generally, but what I bought? Obviously quite alot traditionals since I posted here:

Queen 9867 Barlow
Northfield 250109
Case Ichthus Mini Trapper
Schrade 34OT USA made
Parker-Frost Large Stockman
Parker-Frsot Trapper
ESEE/Rat Izula OD kit
Custom knife from Papi
Custom Damascus Canoe from Jeff Mutz
Victorinox Cadet
Victorinox Soldier Alox

I think these are my last knives for while. Honestly. I got some quality stuff coming and they deserve pocket time before even thinking getting new ones. The Parker-Frost came today. Schrade came weekago. Now they are started to come. My custom's are ready in 2 weeks and I should get them 3-4 weeks.

Northfield, Queen and Izula are nativelly aquired so their price is American MSRP+VAT 23%. I know I am insane but I also want to support local sellers of knives during depression. Knife dealers that have good selection of quality brands like Spyderco's, Benchmades, Kershaw's to Buck and Chris Reeves knives are extremely hard to find in Finland, as hard as finding snowball in forrest fire so I support my favourite one by buying as much them as I can though I could save money by ordering from the states but still, local sellers must be supported especially now so they don't have to quit.

Sounds like you have the start to a nice collection of knives. I too try to support my local dealers when I can. The small business man needs all the help they can get now days. I would love to see some pics of your new knives when you get them in.

Thanks mley1. Pictures of Parker-Frost stockman are already up. Made by Schrade very likely, around 1978-1979 and new in the original box.

You have great taste.
I am interested in seeing a photo of that custom damascus canoe. Sounds great.

Thanks and I am eager to get it :D Dang Elliott has seduced me into the dark side of custom and hand made slippies.... :D

I think you are going to like that Jeff Mutz canoe. I sure like mine. It's not damascus, but it is nice and I have a hard time putting it down. Please post up a photo of it when you get it.
