Herters Saddle Axe

Does anyone know any history on my Herters Saddle Axe?

Original 14" handle, upgraded sheath, the head is 6" long with 3" blades.

Any idea about history, age or rarity?

I don't know an awful lot about Herters besides the fact that they started in the 30's and were in their prime in the 60's, but I remember hearing their axes were made by Collins.
