I want to get my hands on a HEST for an EDC. I don't mind if it's concealed or not, I just want a comfortable carry. How do you carry it? Pictures would be great. The ideas I have so far are strong side hip, cross draw on weak side, pocket carry, or on the lower back.

Thanks!

I have carrying my HEST for he past 4 months or so. It is in a concealex sheath from On Scene Tactical. It is very comfortable, and can forget it is even there. The odd time the pry bar can catch on a coat or shirt, but usually it isn't a problem. With my shirt untucked, it is hardly noticeable.

That's a sweet setup, Grover! I carry mine as a necker under the shirt. a bit heavier than traditional neckers, but it doesnt bother me.

Do you have any issues with the butt of the handle sticking out and tenting your shirt at all? That'd be something I would be concerned about. One of the reasons I never really carried my KeenEdge Karambit. Thank you for the pictures though! How much did the sheath cost?

Thanks guys. Yes amroc, it can print under my shirt sometimes, but it isn't to bad. I usually have it moved as far forward as it will go, and so it doesn't show up much. If I move it back, the handle sticks straight out from my hip and is quite obvious. The sheath was $45 US I think. A little more than I could have gotten one stateside, but I had to ship the knife and didn't want the border hassle. Besides I like to support homegrown talent. No matter how you decide to carry it, the HEST is a great EDC tool. Enjoy it!

I carry mine in my right front pants pocket. Dress slacks or jeans. I also run with mine in the same pocket in my sweats or shorts. Very comfortable and you never know its there. I do keep the 550 cord around the handle in case I need to attach it to a belt for some reason;)
