Is there any difference between the esee and ontario production for the HEST fixed blade?

thanks for the reply cricketdave. I am surprised there isn't more about them here. I picked up an esee hest from a seller here and I gotta say, I'm liking it.

The way they never last long on the for sale page, I thought more people here would have had some comments on them. Any reason why they aren't discussed more?

Rowen's fit/finish is better than Ontario as well, which is funny given that OKC is a subsidiary of a company that mostly does aerospace stuff. :p

Everything about the ESEE version is better than everything about the Ontario version. I regret ever selling mine they are solid knives and can take a beating.

Where do you think they put the people that don't have the skill for the areospace work? :D

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I need some help.
Theres a guy on ebay selling Kydex sheaths for the ESEE Hest, but the one I recently bought is made by OKC.
I already contacted him, but he isn't 100% sure they are the same

So I need to know if the measurements are exactly the same ? I read somewhere that the grips are thicker on the Ontario made ones, maybe there are other differences, too ?

Thanks for your help
Chris
