First off, Happy Thanksgiving to all my BF brothers and sisters.

Really all I need to know is are the Hest folders going to be available for sale. I am not interested in the LE but would really like to have one of these amazing looking folders. As I stated in another thread, I have not been in the market for a folder in a long time but I would really like to have one of these.

Any info is greatly appreciated.
 
if you want a first run (green G10/grey blade) i would suggest finding a dealer that is still taking preorders. if you cant find any then the next run is tentatively scheduled for feb 2011.
 
Yea, I think any that were up for pre-order are likely sold out by now. I am sure some people will cancel, so make sure to look out for those. Otherwise, you may have to wait for next year.
 
Check the www.dpxgear.com website for a list of vendors. Each vendor on the vendors list were allocated a fixed number of knives. The several I have looked at have not closed the pre-order yet. You will likely be able to find one or more that still has knives available on the pre order.

EDIT: It appears the dpxgear website has been taken offline. Check out Knifeworks.com, they haven't closed their pre-order yet on the Hest/F.
 
I got on the waiting list for an LE model just a week plus ago and I just got the email requesting payment! I chose the Sterile model over the Mr. DP model just because I prefer less graphics.

Anyway, mine's paid for now! :D

I also have a preorder at Knife Center for a standard production model as well.

Got the same email today, and paid! Sterile as well... Mr DP is too flashy for me... Can't wait to get it!
 
KnivesShipFree has plenty of production models ordered, and a list going of interested people. Email 'em.
 
How will the second run look like? Is it possible to get the green G10/grey blade with the second run?
 
Production version of the DPx HEST will be US Olive Drab G10 scale, milspec phosphate coated German D2 tool steel, US titanium stone washed frame, blacked out hardware and no MR DP logo on the handle. Last minute change but it looks cleaner. There will be a world tour DPx Gear logo and the RYP signature on the blade.

Gianni is in the kitchen cooking as we speak and its starting to smell like HESTmas!

We are looking for mid December to third week depending on QC, shipping and the other vagaries of custom knife making.

You can place orders for the regular HEST/F from the ESEE dealer list or you can buy one of the pimp0-licious Mr DP or Sterile knives from DPxGear.com The LE knives have Titanium Carbide coating and black G10 scale available in Mr DP pattern or sterile.
 
RYP, does the production version have H.E.S.T. on the pocket clip?
 
RYP, as I noted in a post prior to Thanksgiving, you might want to check on the DPXGEAR website. It has been returning a record not found error for about 3 days now.
