HEST handle storage.

Hey guys I saw a thread about what people are putting in the storage area of their HEST awhile back, I can't find this thread. Anyone got any ideas? I don't want to waste this feature although the area is small i'm still going to use it. Does anyone know if its water proof? I may put some money in there just in case.
 
Its not waterproof but u can seal it with some silicone or put ur money in a condom and put it in compartment..
 
He didn't say it had to be a used one.

A small bead of silicone will seal it. Maybe a tiny plastic bag if you can find one, though it probably won't be completely waterproof.
 
I've got a few matches, a piece of compressed cotton tinder (or two, I can't remember) and a tiny ferro rod in mine. It's all wrapped in plastic from a plastic baggie and taped.

Sillicone might make removing the scales a real pain in the ass, and if you're removing the scales of your HEST, you're probably in deep shat to begin with and need to get at the contents ASAP.

Back on topic: Mine is full of cash. I don't bother waterproofing it--last I checked money was pretty darn water resistant.
 
I put a little cash, a small ferro rod, and some sinus/headache and allergy meds in mine. If in in the urban the cash will come in handy...the other stuff is for the woods of a rain forest with LOTS of pollens. There is a little more room...just not sure else I'll put in it.
