This is such bull I have tried 12am est 31st to get into that site to pre order and its been off line all day what a scam.......UNHAPPY:(
 
Not sure what's in your head...but...
many threads say RYP's site is TUESDAY. That's the kickoff day.

BUT You CAN also preorder on many of the knife sites -
- many here have posted they have already got on lists.
you can too. - just send the knife sites an email - that's what most have done.

Apparently it's Maple Syrup day, or Hug-A-Mountie day, or eat Poutine day or some such in Canada and this has held things up by a day. Calm down and try again tomorrow

hell, they need to fortify it!

Tuesday when 700+ ratpackers, 100's of industry types, lots casual observers, and others who are just "curious" all hit it...
trying to get just 250 units....
it's gonna be wild. FUBAR is possible...Mayhem is assured! :)
 
When someone in charge tells me aug1st and then the lights go out 1159 the day of the pre order
I think its a shame the change with the wind.......
 
Wow. Just wow. Whats the scam? Are they trying to personally screw you out of a knife? Did they make a ton of money or bail and switch by not having the site up? Don't bother coming and asking "hey, is there a problem, did something change?" Nope, just assume that someone is out to get you.

Relax, and realize that logically, in all probability, no one is trying to scam or screw you. And that hat the most likely event in any case, in any world event, is that there is a good reason for anything that happens. And it's not the entire world conspiring to mess you up.

Yea, it's not like this is the first site to get slammed out by massive hits....

Not sure why you have your panties in a wad so early in the morning. They are working out glitches in the site and the date has changed. It's not a scam it just happens sometimes in business.

It's not that big a deal...what's 3 days? And it is not a scam, nobody tool your money, nobody promised you a service that you did not receive.

Regardless of when you order, they won't be shipping out until December anyways. You do realize this, correct? Or will you be back here in 2 weeks saying you ordered your knife and it is a scam cuz you haven't gotten it yet.

Whenever you say panties, or I see anything about ESEE panties, I think about Cricket :( I think someone needs a new marketing/advertising person... my eyes still hurt.
 
According to RYP on 7/31 (and since it's his knife and website, I think that trumps jeff's comment last week when he said everything is up in the air but the site should be up on the first...)

Even if Jeff did say it or whatever, good grief, everyone makes a mistake every now and then. I have no idea what he said. If I want one when they come out, I'll get one. Looks good (excellent actually!), but cannot afford one right now and not going to get involved in the frenzy. :)
 
It appears that as of 12:59 the DpxGear site crashed.. Thats a good and a bad thing. Good because clearly there are hundreds of people read the original announcement, bad because those people (including me) can't get on the site.


The programming that allows people to reserve their number needed some tweaks so I gave them more time to get it right. We have plenty of time to get these orders in but I fully understand the frustration. Nothing has gone away, no numbers have been given away, If needed we will give them more time so that everyone has plenty of advance warning and the system works perfectly.

We like this system to be transparent and automated so bear with us while we get it the way that will make you happy.

There will be a post announcing the registration date and everyone will get a chance! you are going to love the goodies that come with the numbered knife too!
 
Well, I'm pissed! I logged on at 12:02 from a hillbilly hony tonk last night to reserve all 250 pieces and couldn't get on the site. Forced me to go back to drinking and looking at all the skanky women dancing on the bar. Hell, I'm gonna sue your, RYP!
