Thought I'd post a couple of pics to explain this as I've tried to express in text format but I keep seeing new posts concerning the Hest sheath, molle's etc over the past couple weeks.. With the HEST I found the easiest way for me to wear it was with a couple zip ties.. easy, quick and cheap.. It holds close to you and wears very nice..

I've done this from day one and have carried it everyday since.. Molle's are great but I use them for packs, not comfortable for hip carry for me..

here's a shoddy pic of the back side that shows where the zip ties were cut flush.

Hope that helps..

Just be aware the zip tie is under alot of stress so it may could break on you. So bring extra's also try using paracord it'll last longer and be more effective.

I'm talking about EDC, I really don't think the HEST is a great woods knife I've been out with it and it doesn't fit in the line up of knives I go out with.. Have you ever tried to break a zip tie??? I don't think I've ever succeeded.. try cutting through one even with a semi-sharp blade.

now freezing cold and left in the sun to get brittle, this I see.. But this has been my EDC now for well over a month and you couldn't tear the zip ties off..

Paracord has its applications, but the zip tie resolves it for EDC..

neat idea, but it's not for me....I want to pay hard earned money for a solution! wait...yes, unfortunatley I do

That's what I did with parachord, worked well for MOLLE and belt mounting. If you do a 550 chord lace you can use one side for vertical and one side for horizontal carry.

Yes. If they bend too many times they break and if you bend the square end, they lose their hold.

They are good for situations where they won't take damage, like on wires.

I intend to get a 3 clip and use that as it holds tight to the body, just haven't found the need yet as this has worked really well, but I'm sure I'll order one with my next knife purchase their only like $4.00
