Hest #?

i just got my hest today and i love it! but i thought i was getting a un-numbered version, so i was surprised to find that mine was numbered. not that i mind but i thought the numbered ones were only for the people that bought the book too? i was planing on making this a user (heavy user :D) but i dont know now since its a "collectible". so does anyone know whats going on with me getting the numbered?
 
RYP had some left overs after the end of his sell, so he sent them to be sold through retailers. If you assume yours as been a collectible and thats it bothers you to use it, I suggest you trade it with some one that would like a numbered one, or see if your retailer can send you an unnumbered one in exchange.
 
I got the numbered version/book, but the way I justified it was that I was supporting RYP and his work. The book is awesome, eye opening and a witness account of a world that you will never see or hear about anywhere else. The knife is just awesome, the perfect fixed blade EDC and companion bush knife. Great topic of discussion for cracking open those Spraten Oktoberfests with the buddies/
