I found this knife at a Yard sale, has anyone ever heard of a Hewitt knife? It has wooden handles and 3" blade. It looks old and carried it has a leather case with an open top thats form fitted with a belt loop.

Thank You for any help

Hi and welcome to the forums! I will see if I can find anything! Paul

Hewitt (I can't remember his first name) trained under Tim Hancock quite a few years ago. When he left Phoenix to move up north he evidently quit making knives. I picked one up a couple of years ago and showed to T. Hancock, but can't quite remember all the details (dates etc.). It was an extremely nice knife with great fit/finish and quality materials. His knives are old enough that its probably 440C steel, but I wouldn't swear to that. I'm including the picture of the Hewitt that I had.
