What, in your hands on opinion are the attributes of a Scandi grind? I am looking close at a Charles May Scandi Slitter. I also have a fascination for his FireAnt. He told me that he prefers to use S30V when puting a Scandi grind on a blade. I have a Gene Ingram dropoint with S30V, and I cannot believe how many field dressing jobs that blade will do without ever touching it up.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would post anyway. 
I just got off the phone with Mr. May and I ordered a Fireant in D2 with a scandi grind. I went with regular stainless pins, green micarta scales, and black liners. Current wait time is 17 months!! :yawn:
