I have a 7 3/4" by 1 1/2" section of Devin Thomas ladder pattern damascus that I want to use for a couple folders but it's too thick and I need to get it surface ground down to .125". Any of you folks willing to take care of this for me or know someplece reliable I could send it?
Thanks up front!!!

If I had wings Michael I'd fly down and get it and surface grind it if I only had a surface grinder:( . Let me contact John Pawlowski (Big John). He knows some folks up here that might be able to fix you up.

Proly a stupid question but why don't you use a press or something and flaten it out thinner, end up with more usable steel that way...or would it mess up the design?

Ummm, I don't have a press mostly and also I don't think they're very precise are they?

Mark, Tracy Dotson is going to grind it for me!!
Thanks for the offer!!!

Tracy lives about 40 miles away and it's been too long since I visited his shop so this worked out good for me!
