Yeah it's pretty good but like any other style it has it's weaknesses. My kid studies it, he's 14 and he's achieved the highest belt level for his age group which he acomplished in 14 months about 1/4th the time as average. Here's a pic of him when he was a lower belt than he is now standing next to Relson Gracie and his two instructors.

Jits and shoot wrestling were the latest things I added to my tool belt. And man does it help to round out a striker. Plus its just good plain fun and great exercise.
