Hey chris you out there? I just checked up on the web site and realized that the Pentagon Elite I and Spec Elite I have both been changed to VG-10. This is a big upgrade from AUS 8, was this a typo or is this the new steel?

If this is the new steel, when can we expect them to be out on the shelves of, let's say american light or bass pro shops down in south texas?

Now all we need is G-10 and the PEII will be perfect...

Yes, We just made the switch. I am pretty excited about this and this is just the beginning of what we have planned for 2008. As for finding them in stores it depends on the model. Some models made the switch longer ago than others. If you wanted my best guess I would say give it another 3 weeks to be sure.

The Spec Elite II will eventually be going to VG-10 it will just be a little later this year or early next year when that transition happens.

Don't regret buying it, it is still a great knife as you said. I don't think you will be disappointed with the X-Ray at all.
 
Hey Chris, good to hear about the switch, can't wait for the new Spec Elite II.

On that note, one of the only reasons I don't have an SOG bowie yet is AUS-8.
Are there any plans for VG-10 (or something crazy like 20-CV) on a bowie?
