Really want to get one of these. Who has them and who has them in plain edge?
 
I just got one from Chai Cutlery. I`ve also seen them on ebay. *NB - They are only available in the fully serrated blade.
 
Got some. Placed them in good homes. A few more on the way. Presumably the other dealers have them too.

Serrated only.

Pink Crickets are also on their way - serrated only, again.

I'm sorry, maybe I missed something here, but what's with the "serrated only" pink Delicas and Crickets? If ever there was a more innocent looking "airline" knife, other than the ubiquitous red-scaled SAK, it would have to be a pink Delica, but the serrations make it a no-no in the eyes of security people. There goes the only reason I can think of for getting one for my wife or myself.

True, DonL. Some one I know tells me the airlines don't like the serrated blades for some reason, so he brings a plain one. He generally carries a Native with him and hasn't had a problem yet. He, also, brings a self-addressed stamped envelope in case they give him grief.

Sal et al : how about a PLAIN edged PINK Delica?

I saw a picture of a pink Delica with a plain blade in (I think) the January Blade magazine and asked about it at that time. That's the only Spyderco that my wife really raved about wanting.

I'd really like to get her to join the Spyderco family.

I agree, I really wish there`d been a plain blade version of this knife, but I`ll take what I can get.

I had e-mailed many dealers about the pink Delica and received responses ranging from "had them, all gone and not getting any more" to "never heard of a pink handled Delica". Best of luck in your search!
 
Oddball batches like the pink Delica and Cricket have to be scheduled a long time in advance. These pieces were actually scheduled before there was a Spyderco forum. Assuming all goes well with the serrated version, we'll probably make a plain edge batch. Still some time off though.

Hmm, pink plain-edge Cricket ? Sounds good to me, this is such an unassuming looking knife, but very good performer. I have a serrated one at present, would like to try a plain edge.
 
I talked to a distributor today who said he had some pink delicas and crickets. I didn't take any but if you guys want some let me know and I'll get them. Same day service for me so there's not waiting for me to get them in. LMK.

Sal, please get those plain edges out ASAP and please make more Spyders in COLORS! I love my blue BF Native and am growing tired of black. I think by this reaction to these Delica's you'll sell a bunch.

Heh, It's got to try your patience, running a knife company in the internet age. Now everyone gets to second-guess every last decision, and can do so at greater than 56KB/s. I'll join the time-honored tradition: SAY WHAT? Pink delica, but only in the more aggressive-looking serrated format???

Seriously, though, plain pink delicas sound like a winning idea.
