I don't know if you remember us talking about it at lunch, but I was digging around in my "parts box", and found this thing for a post over in the WS&S. This is the one that stuck in my leg. :D

Now, this is not a Becker, and this IS the Becker Forum, so I apologize.
Here, this is for size comparison. Fixed that.

No warranty cry out here Toooj, just a friendly pic. I MORE than got my $40 bucks outta this guy. I bought 3 more since it broke, so no love loss there.

Just thought it would be interesting. Moose

For those of us that didn't make it to that lunch, please do tell.
I'm off to get a turkey sandwich while I read.
It'll be just like I was there!

I was batoning wood for my stove, and the blade broke, bounced off the wall and stuck in my leg. Went in about an inch. Didn't hurt right away, but I was real sore for three days. Held it closed with syn stiches. No big, but we were talking about Kabars and how you could draw a picture of the tang and blade when it broke. They all break that same way. Lunch was good, I had buff wings. Moose

i wonder if you couldn't cut the end down some, remove the blade edge in particular, and slap some handle on that and have a stubby knife :)

get a tac-tul for batoning - that shouldn't break :)

I am thinking about doing something with it like that, just not sure what I want. I'm using a big ol' kukri right now, so got that covered :D

Is that a regular ol' 1095 kabar or a 440 next gen?

That's a regular 1217 USMC American Legend. It spent a year as my woods knife then 3yrs as a wood stove knife. She ain't got no paint on.
