OOPS, my bad, I mixed Bushamster100 up with Triggerman. Posted some nasty sh!t about Bushmaster, I disagree with him about the testing of Strider, but I mixed him up with Tiggerman, who needs a severe butt whoopin' Sorry for the post Bush.. but you still are wrong about Striders....

but his opening comments reveal that he knows very little about his new purchase so that is a riot!

I got nothing against Busse knives - they certainly feel durable.

BUT it seems like somebody took a leaf spring and made a knife out of it and then spackled the blade for its finish. The edge sure is an interesting shape - but the blunt rounded edge leading to the sharper edge is not something I'm looking for. I'm still getting used to the flat grind over the hollow grind myself. Still I don't know if I need video "PROOF" of a blade's ability to cut through windshield safety glass of a wrecked car.

 :) :)

Mick, I agree... I posted that because I thought it was Triggeman who was doing the yackin'. I was so pissed at Triggermans post disrespecting U.S servicemen that I got Bushmaster confused with him

Iverson,
You are not alone!!Look at the bright side, maybe we will meet him one day,you know be able to "discuss"things with him!!:D

As do I, that triggerman, and his ilk over at AK-47.net are just a buncha wankers...

Just as we know that Strider knives are 'the sh*t'

The real facts are, AKS/AKM carbines 'do' work, in the 'real world'

It's a shame though, thet that whole freakin' BBS is a just a buncha wannabe's...

Speaking of which, and I gave KWM a 'blast' over this...neither of us own Strider's, though we're 'defender's of the faith', so I guess I should get up off my dead ass and buy one... ;)

"Ah, someday..."

Howdy again fellas..

I agree that AK's are good weapons... I don't own an actual AK, but I do have a mak-90. I am no expert on this, as I have never been in the military, but It seems to be a very functional weapon.

I LOVE my AR-15, and have put a few thousand rounds through it... The only time it has had any problems was when I first got it, and it was my bad that it jammed up. I put the bolt in backwards, so that the ejector catch was facing the wrong way, so when I fired it, the casing jammed up in the port. Well, live and learn. :)

I definitely won't repeat THAT mistake again, two of my buddies who are stationed at Ft Richardson, AK, were there and got quite the laugh out of it,once they got over the pucker-factor of trying to dislogdge the round (it was jammed forward by the bolt, and the bullet was forced about a quarter of an inch into the casing...)

Anyhoo, take it easy...

Personally, I think that Busse make a pretty sharp looking blade.

Get it folks...? A "sharp" looking blade?

Thank you, Thank you... I'll be here all week.:D
(sigh)

In all seriousness though, I've never heard a bad thing about Busse knives and I think that they look like great knives. But I think that STRIDER knives are better tools for my needs.

Nice pic, 1WB.

*Edited to correct my spelling*

And right back at you on the Striders.
I have no doubt they are great knifes, (I have owned a few)
I just prefer the Busse's for what I do.

I don't think any one can go wrong with either, it comes down to how it feels to you amd what you do with it.
Take care...

the original post had a link. On that link was testimony from a guy who admitted he knew little about his knew Busse Outlaw knife but claimed how much better it was than a Strider.

At a recent knife show I looked at the Outlaws and the spackled type finish. I also watched the video (kind of cheesy) about having some uniformed person cutting the safety glass windshield of a wrecked car. When I asked the helpful salesman about the edge and how to sharpen it he pulled out this ceramic rod the size of a paper towel tube and starts working the "unique" blade - Pretty funny because it looked like movie props for ludicrously sized objects...

As for the Busse line - I for one am glad that we have so many choices in blades. My choice is Strider BUT of course I've got no problem with others who have their own preferences.

;)
