I just got this manix 2 two days ago and I'm really really happy with it. But this morning I noticed this little line on one side of the blade about 4mm in length. If you run your fingernail across it you can kind of feel it catch. It dosent go though to the other side though. Should I be worried about it

Tough to tell. I'd have the dealer exchange it.

If it bugs you now it'll bug you forever. Swap it for a new one.

Can't tell from the picture. If you think there is a crack and not a grind line, you can always contact Spyderco and send it in, or you can send it back to the dealer. Does it feel like a crack when you feel it with your fingernail? Have you looked at it with a magnifier?

When you run your finger over it, it feels raised off the rest of the surface, if it's just a grind line I'm really not worried then. I haven't really done anything crazy with it a couple of small boxs and bags at work and I cut a scone with it.

That 'crack' looks perfectly straight. Cracks aren't usually so straight.

If it doesn't seem to extend into the edge bevel, it's probably just a grind line.

You could have it magnafluxed at an engine shop but it'd probably cost more than the knife.

Thanks guys I've decided I'm not gonna worry about it and just use the knife. I'm pretty stoked about it. It's my first above 30 dollar knife. The action and blade alone are worth it to me

I was going to say the same thing. It looks pretty straight and parallel to the other grind lines. I would say it's a grind line. I have plenty of blades with grind lines (scratches?) just like that. I'd bet a loupe or magnifying glass would reveal more about it.
