Hey guys looking for a knife that under $50 that is good looking and sleek when folded but when unfolded will strike terror... not really but look badass. But must also serve a purpose of secondary self defense weapon and edc.
Other Preferable Specs
-all stainless steel or all black with tini blade keep it simple
-proportional blade size ( dont really like the tenacious because the blades short and fat and kind of awkward i like more of a straight package not rounded.)
-Good steel and no blade play of course
-dont mind assisted opening the faster the better all of my other knives i carry are in sheathed so dont really care about being skilled with a thumb stud.
-Nice tall clip with little exposed knife body

I do like the Kershaw onion and kershaw OD-1 but they are a little bit wide and expensive
Any suggestions.

I don't know dude, I was going to suggest the Tenacious... How about the Resilience? No way that blade could be called short lol.

Cold Steel Ti-Lites, you can get 4 and 6 inches. It's very pointy and it can be waved out of a pocket.

its just kind of stubby, i like a more streamline blade/ i feel like it would hold up very well if a self defense situation came up.

If your going to have a knife that is defensive "secondarily" you will need something thin. This is due to the fact that your edge will not be as sharp as a razor because you will be using it for utility reasons. This in mind you'll want something with good stabbing potential. For your price range I would get the Spyderco Endura or Delica. For the price you get VG-10 which is better than any kershaw steel for the price, a top-notch company, and a thumb-hole deployment which will be great if you have adrenaline dumping into your system when you need it for "defense".

You say you want something that looks bad ass, but the problem with that is your going to get a lot of comments that get annoying "what do you need that for?", "Planning on stabbing somebody?""Easy killer."

Spyderco Endura in reverse grip should be right up your alley. It comes in many colors.

Just my 2 cents from experience. Good luck in you search.

Kershaw Leek.
Kershaw Shallot.
Kershaw JYD II. - This Is A Beast Of A Knife.
You Can Get A Spyderco Delica Or Endura Under $50 If You Look Around.
Spyderco Resilience Is Also HUGE And A Beast Of A Knife.

A Byrd Knife Would Be Great. I Suggest The G-10 Cara Cara 2.

This is what I do
One specifically for utility- Spyderco Delica
One committed for defense- Benchmade 551 (I keep mine sharper than a razor)

kershaw chill you cant beat 20 dollars for a razor sharp slim knife. i have a tenacious iand i think you would really like the chill its described only by its name "chill" you will see what i am talking about it when you first open the package

i think that its kind of a spyderco vs kershaw thing going on hahah, im looking for more of an all stainless steel look more than anything lol

Is there a particular reason you want all stainless? There really are almost zero benefits to stainless handles. Other handle materials are almost always lighter, more scratch resistant, more grippy, and FAR lighter than stainless steel. By limiting yourself to stainless handles you ate leaving out most of the knife world. In fact, I can't think of a single high end knife using stainless handles. High quality folders using all metal construction are almost always going to be titanium and usually cost quite a bit if money. At any price point below $150-200 you would be much better off going with g10 or even frn over stainless.

If you are set on stainless though, I don't think you can do much better than the kershaw shallot or leek (if you want something smaller)

I know what you mean thats basically probably why i posted this because i couldnt find what i wanted haha too picky lol i just like how the stainless looks
