hey all. i'm a recent swamprat convert (used to carry striders exclusively). i picked up a howling rat on the trading forums and i have a few questions...


what's the warranty on this knife? can i get it sharpened/reprofiled/rehandled/recoated if necessary? i understand the howling rat is a discontinued model, right?

i went to the swamprat website but couldn't find any info..

Welcome to the Swamp Rat Forum, I'm glad that you stopped by. You got yourself a great knife in the Howling Rat.
The Warranty is a lifetime warranty covering all major damage to the knife (including the handle).

We will be happy to sharpen or reprofile the knife for just the cost of shipping. If you need to do this contact info@swamprat.com

We generally do not recoat or rehandle knives unless there was damage to either that affected the performance of the knife. Cosmetic reasons are not enough to allow us to recoat or rehandle a knife as it is very expensive to do this correctly.

Be sure to post some pictures of your HR as soon as you can...that is my all time personal favorite knife......I guess that is why I have a Gen 1, 2, Fat, and a Ridgeback on the way!
