Well its good to see BFC is still going strong and for those who may remember me i had some personal stuff going on, still do but started coming back to forums i havnt been on in a while.

Anyhoo in 2 weeks i'm off to America for a month...my new home this holiday though is the trial run, and while i know blade show is going to be on i cant make it i'll be in buffalo NY that week. But my GF's mom lives in Gainesville, FL so heres the knife part

Can anyone please recommend good knife stores in the florida/gainesville area? even if its in atlanta or lower florida cause i'll enjoy driving around for my first trip over i'd love to be able to get at least a nice bowie

Gainesville fl to atlanta ga is 5.5 hours driving time...333 miles. Quite a drive.

I'm sure there are closer knife stores tho. I'm sure someone will speak up. I'd do a search too.

I know how far it is, my GF's american and her sister lives in Atlanta so were going to go there AFTER blade show unfortunately, i was really hoping to attend this year .

But yeah anyone that knows of local gainesville knife shops with quality stuff for sale, or even gun shops with good knives for sale i'll appreciate it. I wanna get my GF a decent knife too her chinese POS just doesnt cut it *pun intended*.

I'm sure someone can tell you a good knife store in the area. Florida is one of the more weapons-friendly states.

Thanks I cant wait to move over...the permanent move isnt until 2007 cause i'm finishing my apprenticeship first, skills are required to gain employment quickly, eventually start my own business .

I've seen a few florida members on here so i'll edit the title so they know to look while people bag out america i think its a great country

Well, you'll be here in time to go to the Atlanta Blade show!

There is a pretty large knife store in one of the "outlet" malls in Orlando. Prices not as good as the internet but they have a pretty large selection.

Unfortunately I don't get to Orlando all that often so the best directions I can give you is, "it's off that main road and the mall has a green roof." It's a big one too- get some of those brochures pertaining to outlet shopping that you see at rest stops and you will find the one with the knife store.

Randall Knives also has a showroom up in Orlando- I am not clear on whether or not they sell knives out of it though.


My brother lives in gainesville. I will ask him later on if he knows of any knife stores there.

I'd call him now but he is a college student and doesn't wake up before 11.
