Hey everyone, I havnt been around alot lately, and I thought I would take a minute to say hello.
I have been working a bunch and really getting into another hobby...Axe collecting. Just what I needed, another hobby. I have been spending my weekends out with the family, going to antique shops and flea markets..searching for axe heads and the like. And adding to my wifes vinyl collection.
I am also really getting into race axe competition...I am not really sure if I am gonna try my hand at it yet, but I did order a couple race axes. I am gonna practice anyway...good exercise. I have been chopping alot, and learning about grinds and technique.
On top of that...I think its getting close to time for me to change my BF handle and membership...I got a "new to me" grinder and have been spending alot of time in the shop...I think I am close to doing it part time. I am working on some designs and looking into suppliers. So look for my new handle soon (next month or so)..my wife really is pushing me to doing it full time after she gets her degree. Cool girl huh?

I might just show off a couple designs soon, and see what you guys think, as I think alot of your judgement. I do want to promise, that when I change over..I will try not to peddle my goods here...

Now that you mention it. This is something you can do. Please send Tonym one of your Clip Bowies and a 9" bladed Hudson Bay style. He always gives me good feedback on what works and doesn't. I think that will help me greatly in becoming a knife maker. Thanks Walt:thumbup:

Tony, if I would have been drinking a tasty beverage while reading I would have ruined another computer! That was good...
I just recieved a RACE AXE today in the mail, man OH man...I am in love.
All I can say is that If I were a tree...I would be very scared This thing is a beast..I will have to take some work shots of it later this week.
It makes my collection seem SMALL, and I have a few great axes...the trouble now is I am gonna go after some more $$ ones...I think I should get some of those safety booties..just to be on the safe side.
