You do forging don't you?? Can you weld??

WE talk a lot about batoning with a knife, but I keep having an idea for something.

Do you know what a Froe is??

Thinking here of a back country froe.

Something maybe say 9" long. Maybe even up to 1/2" thick at the spine and tapering to a fine edge with an eye for a handle on one end so you could make a handle on site.

Maybe holes drilled in it along the blade and maybe even the eye to reduce weight??

Lol... I have been taken to the woods and trained how to use a froe. And the broad axe. Would that make me a " real hillbilly"?

I have alot 5160 around too. And I have Bill Stuart for guidance. He teaches forging over at COS. Now I just need some time.

I bet we could put our heads together and come up with something!
