Do it up and post some pics! I may get another lanyard with a ti bead to put on the Zaan or just swap one of my others. Just gotta wait on the Zaan tool kit to come from CRK.

I'm loving it truthfully. It's a different animal without doubt. I will say I was expecting a somewhat broader blade, more like the Regular, less like the 21. However, I am not disappointed by any means.

As far as the kiddo, a few I bought, a few I traded for, so he's well fed and happy. On a related note, everytime daddy gets a knife, lil man gets a toy. Gotta keep it fair:cool:
 
Ha. Twas sarcasm. I know he is first and foremost. Had to part with my Insingo w/micarta recently. Mailing it today to a new home. Had to get new tires for us to go on vacation! Oh well, back to the CRK drawing board. Couldn't get myself to use it. Congrats. And yes Aidan has some EDC stuff now too. Bought him a Quark preon before I got my new Eagle-Tac D25a clicky!

Little momma and I are heading down to New Orleans at the end of the month. Lil guy will be with his Nana.
 
Sweet! Not sure you can travel with anything these days. But you have to go and get a fresh one of these with their awesome coffee. These are the gem of New Orleans! Show yourself cutting one with some sort of a blade. Ha (I've never had one, but everyone who has takes a breath before they explain the awesomeness.) :thumbup:

Planning on packing a Seb in my checked luggage. Five days without a Sebenza? No thanks! I hear people take their knives often without issue so I'm gonna give it a go! Wish me luck.

Hopefully there will be pics o' plenty of my Seb cutting some tasty things down in New Orleans.

I have done it with SAKs with no problems, but I hear it isn't too hard to have valuables go missing that are packed in checked luggage. I'm not sure if I would want to risk getting my sebenza stolen, but then again...Five days?? I'd probably just go for it, lol.

Awesome collection sir. I am extremely envious of those Regulars. I noticed your zaan has the newest jimping on it, does it have the CR logo on the lockstop as well? I think I like that finer cut jimping better and the CR logo on the lockstops looks much, much better than the hideous plain lockstops that stick out like a sore thumb.
 
Thank you sir. I'm a Regular nut and fortunately got really lucky with the three I own and didn't pay astronomical amounts for any of them.

Good eye, it does indeed have the CR logo on the lock stop. June 28 2012(five days after my kids 2nd birthday:thumbup:)

Thank you bub. I've actually sold/traded some Sebenzas so I'm thinking of reacquiring those, the Large Insigno with Micarta inlays for sure, as my next purchases.

I've had and still have many fixed blades and have found folders to suite my needs more. I have a strong aversion to buying knives and not using them so I'm at a point where i'll only purchase what I know i'll carry.

So I don't see a CRK fixed blade in my future, but one never knows.

As of now, this is what I want next:
TiLock
Mnandi(mammoth preferably)
A couple more Large Regular Sebenzas
A large Sebenza with Damascus
A large 25(on order)
A WC Umnumzaan

Here is my wish list:

Large BG42 Regular
Large P
Small or large Damascus (either regular, classic, 21, or 25)
Sebenza 25
T-Lock
Umnumzaan

So far I have:

NIB Large Regular
User Large Regular
NIB Small Regular
NIB Small P85 (on its way)

In reality I cannot see myself owning everything on my wish list along with what I already have. There is a good chance I will get to spend some time with each at one point or another before I settle on just one or two users (and maybe duplicate back-ups/safe-queens).
