Thought I'd tap the hivemind for some wisdom since I searched the forum and couldn't find a direct answer to these questions.
I have the opportunity to trade my Fallkniven A1 for a BRKT Bravo 2. I really like my A1 and have had nothing but good experiences with it for heavy camp chores - e.g. shelter and fire building. I'm interested in the Bravo 2 because of the slightly longer and thinner blade stock with a nearly full convex grind. As well as the possibly easier-to-maintain-a-sharper-edge-on carbon A2 steel, as opposed to the VG-10 stainless laminate on the Fallkniven A1. I also like the relatively slim handle of the A1, it feels extremely comfortable in my S/M gloved hand. The Bravo 2 looks like a handle that rivals what one would find on an Ontario RTAK2. Is this the case?
Anyone out there have experience with both? I won't be able to handle the Bravo 2 before trading so any insights to its performance, handling, balance etc. are greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot guys.
