It's a Mora 223 knife with Leuku sheath. What do ya'll think? It's a carbon steel blade that is about 8 3/4" long, 1 1/2" wide, and .075" thick.

Good looking blade.
Congrats!

I have that in both sizes, Outstanding value. I think you will enjoy it big time.

Thanks everyone. If it's as good as my other Moras, I'll be completely satisfied. I'll get a field report up as soon as I can find time to get away and use it. I just got back from Rabbitstik 2009. What a great time! I brain tanned a nice red fox hide. It was cased and fleshed, but we each (in the class) had to finish it ourselves.

Nice knife, didn't know mora had a knife like that.
Yep! But I don't think it usually comes with a Leuku sheath. I has been slightly used. It was in the yard sale category of an online store I frequent (Ben's Backwoods).

I have one of those. It is wickedly sharp and retains it's edge well, not bad in the kitchen, excellent handle form but rusts very quickly and chopping back foliage in the garden serrated the edge that I have had to reprofile. Being thin it sails through green wood.

It is a very high care knife and with my hoard of other knives it is relegated to a pantry shelf.

what's the pricepoint on the 223? Can't seem to find them anywhere. I'd patina it, give it the good ol' mustard treatment.
