Here it is, in the flesh:

And with some friends:

Now, why, you ask, is there a Nexus in the pic? It's to remind me not to waste any more money on lesser knives! I could have bought another Busse for the price of that thing.

Rick.

I really hope that I can pick up #3 for my EDC!

That AD and the matching Meaner are the only knives that I'm going for this 'ganza. Wish me luck. :)

Would that be number 9?

That's the only one I'm after as well. I'll probably end up taking the wife shopping though (promised her last weekend). Anyway, there's a bit of a lag getting the 'net to the UK and back when it all chokes up like it did last ganza, tends to make it just that bit harder getting in there. I'll just hope someone moves one on the exchange afterwards at a decent price.

I only got the AD a few days ago. I love it; it's my first non-coated Busse. Perfect EDC size for me.

Best of luck then, hope you snag them.

Cheers,
Rick.

I picked up a Nexus Ciao in a trade, w/o the swedge. Why do you think it's a lesser knife? I haven't used mine yet, I may not, but it's from a good steel. I'm toying with the idea of having it turned into a clip point, have to try some mock-ups on paper or screen to see how it might look.

That AD would be tempting, good price; but I just scored a sweet looking Ban modified AD in Green Linen for less.

It was said in jest really, but I certainly won't be using it and I much prefer my Busses (and Fallknivens, Fehrmans and Barkies, all of which I can't resist using). Just taking gentle practice chopping swings causes the sharp edges at the end of the grip to bite into my hand. Would be painful after a minute of real chopping.

I do consider it lesser, but I suppose for personal reasons rather than ones inate in the knife.

It is quite sharp though, definately equal to the only other production blades I've known to arrive properly sharp; Bark Rivers.

I'll move it on soon; trade or sale. It's still mint.
