Flippin through the channels and noticed on one of the shopping networks selling knife collections and saw a blade that very closely resemble a Busse, with front and rear talon holes. The blade looked very much like a takeoff of your excellent designs- full tang hunting knife, micarta slabs?, satin finish, 6-7 inch blade, and front and rear talon holes. The rear pommel extended out like a Busse but it had a big talon hole groove that slanted with the pommel, but the front hole looked just like a Busse. I don't know if it is PC to list the company here, so I won't do it unless ok. Just givin a heads up.
Well just checked out their website, but could not find the particular knife I saw last night, but did notice another very close resemblance to a Busse. This one was a 4-5 inch tactical blade with front/rear talon holes a it looks more like a Busse than the first one, except it was priced at $24.95.

Sounds like a Humvee, frequently advertised in Blade Magazine.
I have handled them at gun shows. I always wash my hands immediately afterwards.

Very funny. I guess everyone (knife makers/ manufacturers) wants to be more like Busse Combat. I think, let them try, their probabbly made of 420 J2 steel anyway.

what web site? don't mention the company but the web address will do.

I looked on the shopping channels website but found nothing like a front talone hole. All I could find was junk made in China by some child earning 0.0001 cents per day. Yes, the website would be helpful.

I've seen many front talon holes but none of them looked exactly like on Busse knives. Look at Tops for example, both front and rear holes on some models. They're a little different though.

Butcher,
All the knives on HSN (assuming that's where you've seen it) are cheap Pakistani junk. And yes, alot of it looks like direct knock-off.

Pardon my ignorance, what is the difference (functionally and legally) between a lanyard hole and a talon hole?

Thanks for the "Heads Up". . . I'd appreciate it greatly if you could forward the website to my email at jerry@bussecombat.com

Thanks!

Jerry

I sent you an e-mail Jerry, and yes Greens hit it on the head, cheap looking junk sold as a set with some folders for like $24.95 and I'll let Jerry deal with it as he sees fit. Yes, MikeH was also right about the other knife I saw which was the Humvee 101 airborne that very much resembled a Busse except for the fact that it was like $20, ha ha :barf: I thought someone had covered that one before. Anyway it is probably not a big deal to Jerry being that the particular knife I saw was shiny, cheap junk but the finger guard talon hole I thought he might want to know about. Just looking out for our favorite blade maker ;)
