Now you have made a Hudson Bay maybe you should think about making a Roach Belly to partner it with !!!!!;)

And if you make a roach belly with a clip point it would be a roach cl..:foot:
No, probably not.

Some classic examples, from Ragweed forge. TR-RB is listed as a Roach Belly, with TR-V being its bigger cousin.

This one's by North River Custom Knives - their interpretation of the Hudson Bay Roach Belly.

I gather that the general description is a small-to-medium all-purpose knife with a decent point, a bit of belly, and a rounded handle.

Seems like a cool design!

All the best,

- Mike

Here is another pic of one....

To me a Roach Belly should always have a straight spine and should not be a drop point etc !

Not sure of the history of the Roach Belly, and can't seem to find much. Hudson Bay made some. The first pic is a Hudson Bay Roach Belly. Basically the blade edge is a continuous curve with no straight section. The whole blade is belly, typically a straight back or a very slight upsweep to the blade. Common to see them with the up swept blade and a counter sweeping bulbous handle, so it has a slight S shape to the whole knife. I REALLY like the Hudson Bay Roach Belly.

I guess the ML (Third knife down) could be considered a Roach Belly....a really big one)
