A RAT Fanboy was irritating me over in a thread in general. So I had to let off some steam and play.

Haha, RAT fanboys. I like RC knives, but definitely not a fanboy.

Yes that is a Hiker.

Right after I perforated the cup I used it to slice some chicken breast for a couple of sandwhiches. :)

Nah..they make good stuff. Just kinda tired of " my budget is $ one million,what fixed should I get"

and hearing "buy RAT they are the best and nothing at anyprice can compare"

Specially when the guy never shows his knives being used.:confused:


Never had any doubts about the Hiker not getting hurt. At least I didn't shoot at it.:D
 
Nice hiker ! Johns knives seem to be plenty tough ! Can't wait to give my Lobo a good go around ! :) I like RAT Cutlery to but I'm no FANBOY .
 
Every time I come back to these pics, I expect to see the cup waving a white flag to surrender!
 
RAT knives may be ok but I prefer the fact that John's don't have any blade coating and his handles are far better.
I was kindly lent an RC4 to try and just couldn't get on with the handle, too short and too thin !!!!
 
Man, I'd hate to be thought of as a fanboy of anything. I see those folks all over the place, and I find it annoying (read quote on bottom of my post). Can I be a fan of John's knives without being a fanboy? If not, I may have to find a new addiction.

Me, I will recomend John's knives to anyone looking for a fixed in his price range.

I consider Fanboy status to be me saying "Buy JK" in every fixed blade thread.No matter what the budget.And put down any other maker.

Plus....I never just say "buy JK" I will explain why John's knives should be considered among the many quality fixed blades out there. (Which does include RAT)

And I will back up my reasons with pics of what John's knives are able to do.

As you can tell I use them, and I am not afraid to beat on them.

Wow, if someone actually believes that then they aren't too bright. RAT knives are good but they're by no means the best out there.
