This is my first post here. Recently I just got a Benchmade Stryker M2. I really love it. it is my first real knife. I got it over an Emerson CQC-7 for 2 reasons. I thought the blade would be better for everyday tasks and wanted the M2 steel. However, the spear point Emerson CQC-7 has now caught my eye. I don't have the money to get one now, but perhaps over the summer. I just wanted to get your opinions of the knife and see if you guys thought there were others (any brand) I should take a look at. Thanks in advance for the input.

Yeah, get an emerson :D

I like the design of the emerson. Howevere, I have been warned by some that the quality of the Emerson might not be up to that of my benchmade. Are there any quality issues that any of you know of regarding Emerson knives?

::sigh:; Emerson DID have QC issues in the past. Those have since been addressed, and they knives are better than ever. Get one - you won't be disappointed.

have you tried a 'waved' version yet? I'd seriously suggest you go out and try out a production piece. This action in itself will answer many of your questions

;)

One2gofst,
welcome to the forums, I have to agree with Ray, try a "waved" 7 You'll be hooked :D

I have a benchmade mel pardue 722 axis lock, compared to my CQC7, its a piece of crap, so i am selling it or trading it in to get a commander. The CQC7 has a better grip, more reliable locking mechanism, it also feels stronger and most of all, it can be completely disasembled, TRY DOING THAT WITH A BENCHMANDE, IT WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.
