There was a Bayonet made by Buck Knives that was sent to Japan. I believe that there was a little more than 500 of these made with the model number of 0188-J2-0 that had a Modified Latchplate and Quillon. Does anybody have a picture of one of these or even know what color the blade and handle was?

Thanks,
Outcast.

Welcome to the Buck forum, Outcast!

Thanks for the good read, BCCL.

It was a good read but there was no picture of the Japanese Bayonet.
Where is Joe when ya need him?

You guys with all your anti-Asian posts probably drove away all the inscrutable orientals who *know* about these bayonets... :grumpy:

Somewhere there is a knife shop owner in Koza or Naha with a bushel basket full of Japanese Buck bayonets... :D

Just a tad late on this reply but welcome to the forums outcast! :)
I actually do not have any pictures of the Jananese bayonet. Dont even have one in the Buck archives to take a picture of. :(
There were a few bayonet projects that fall into this category...no picture, no sample. Makes it hard to describe the knife to someone.
