So, for anyone else looking, I lost my camera a little while ago and have turned this place upside down looking for it. No luck. But today my Dad stopped by and as he was getting ready to leave I noticed he had his camera in the car. It's not the greatest camera or picture quality but I've been getting quite a few traditional knives lately and haven't been able to post any pictures.

So here's a low quality pic of my newest toys. I didn't include duplicate backups. And I have another yeller peanut in CV that didn't make it in the pic. I was in a hurry since he was leaving.

Black barnboard peanut, yellow SS peanut, brown delrin peanut, tan caliber peanut, black delrin toothpick, black delrin medium jack, and black delrin peanut. As I type this I realize I forgot the black G10 peanut.

Nice. You can double click to the right of your title on the main list of traditional threads to spell the name correctly.

If we are thinking of the same member :)

Cool!

I really gotta take some pics myself. I've added (too) many knives to my collection since I joined here...this place is expensive :D

Your welcome and I figured. Sometimes I don't even see my own typos because I know what I meant to type when I read it.

Again, nice collection.

Yep. I do it all the time. Even proofreading sometimes misses things because what I hear in my head overrules what my eyes are actually seeing.
According to the tracking info I should have a couple of new Case pen knives tomorrow. Both yellow. One in CV and one SS. Also grabbed a blue medium Stockman.

Is it me, or does the tan Caliber nut look bigger than the other nuts?

That's actually on my short list to buy; could you tell me more about it?

It is a tad longer. By maybe 3/16 or less. I don't have a ruler handy but I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. It's a bit lighter than a regular peanut. It has the "as ground" blades. Seems to have the same snap as my other peanuts. I like it.

Just kidding-- thanks so much for the picture!

The black barnboard looks almost pearl here, but I'm guessing that's white bone underneath?

I especially appreciate seeing the Medium Jack in the line-up. How would you describe the feel of the Jack's Delrin scales as compared to the Peanut's G10?

Speaking of which, where's the black Peanut?! Oh, I see-- you already thought of that, too.

Next time. :)

(Really, thanks for taking the time to do this.)

Great little collection. I see, you prefer little knives... Thanks for sharing this!

Kind regards

That tan nut looks gray to me. How's it feel to use?

It actually almost looks olive drab in person. It doesn't feel flimsy or anything if that's what you're wondering. I would say it has a similar feel to Spyderco's FRN on a Ladybug or similar knife.

Yeah, I do prefer little knives. When it's something clipped in my pocket I don't mind something larger but for something that's going to be swimming around in a pocket I prefer as small a footprint as possible. I also carry a larger knife clipped in my pocket so I don't really need a large slipjoint. And part of it reminds me of the little slipjoint my Dad gave me when I was a kid. Nostalgia I guess.

Yeah I was in a hurry since he was wanting to get going so I forgot some things. I did get my Case yellow pen knives today and I like them. They're not a whole lot thinner than the medium jack and it's the same handle otherwise. I was hoping they wouldn't be super thin.

I actually like the Delrin scales better than the G10. Mostly because the Delrin is contoured and it's almost like they just cut slabs of G10 and stuck them on the side of the peanut. That's why when I bought the other black peanut I got the Delrin even though it's not smooth. I really like that Medium Jack. I like the smooth handle and it's just the right size. The pen knife will serve pretty much the same purpose. It's just a tad thinner.

That's very helpful-- thanks!
