I no longer do rifle stock work since getting into knives and I refuse to do any stock work entirely. I know that you are a master craftsman at muzzle loading and other firearm work. I continue to service the many emails I receive concerning questions about stock work and sometimes I get emails asking me to do the stock work, in which case I decline. However I got one yesterday that pulled at me. I would like to ask of you to either consider this for yourself or recommend this email to another you think might be willing. The email is as follows and I can provide his email address to whom ever might be interested:

Sirs:

Because of right-eye problems I can no longer aim with the right eye.
This has put an end to sqirrel hunting with a .22 rifle, my favorite
hunting sport.I have been unable to change to left shoulder shooting
with rifles because I cannot hold steady enough for squirrel
shooting.

Therefore I need an offset stock which would allow right shoulder
mounting and left eye sighting thru a scope. I have combed the
internet for companies which provide such stocks, but can not locate
one.I would buy any good .22 if there is such a stock available.
A "wire" stock would be OK.
Do you know of a company(s) making such a stock?

I have heard that some company makes a gizmo that mounts on existing
scope bases and extends a holder for the scope far enough to the left
to enable left eye sighting.I have not been able to find this either.
This would be a second choice, but "beggers can't be
choosers." Any info? Thanks much!

Thanks for considering.

I could probably make it Rodger, either with a steam bent wooden stock or with a composite one. But......The guy needs to learn to shoot left handed, This happens to a lot of people including people who wake up and discover that their left eye is really the dominant one.

I could also make a scope....uh extension  but again, it doesn't cure the problem.

If you are serious, I can email him.
