Hey RAT guys

there was talk a while back about a tomahawk/hatchet. it got put on the back burner. i don't know if they're still planning on doing it, but if they make it, i'm buying.

there's a thread on page 2 about it...

We talked about it and even started to go forward but it died on the vine. Right now we're doing our best to get a couple of new projects out and I doubt we will even consider this until the RC-10, clip point knives, Izula handles, Imacasa machete, stainless steel version of the RC-3, and the folder is out. In fact, anything new is off the burner until all of these projects are shipping and we have production.

Yikes, I didn't realize they had that many projects going at once. No wonder an axe is on the way, way back burner.

i don't have any idea how far along they are on the stainless rc-3, but the folder should be out around the end of this year... i hope.

i would like a hawk , but frankly a small camp ax is more handy for me.... and no one really makes em... i just find most hawks to small for a cutting surface...

maybe one day we will see lol... give the RC guys a little time to catch up...

define small camp axe?
are you talking hatchet like the Gerber/fiskars/buck plastic handled jobs, Gransfors Bruks and Wetterlings small camp axes, or estwing's steel handled models?
or are you talking about the 20-24" handled 3/4 size axes -- again, GB & Wetterlings small forest axes, Estwing camp axes (18 or 24" handles), or the Hudson Bay pattern axes? (Council, Snow & Neally, etc...)

small camp ax for me would be one step above hatchet or where you can use it with 2 hands practicaly.... so i figure wet/gb camp ax size ...
