Have you deployed yet? If not, e-mail me a mailing address for you and I'll send you a few of my polymer Brain Spikes for you and your buddies to slam through the eye sockets of terrorists. Fun for the entire family.
I gave one to Mick at Blade West, but you and Duane weren't there on Saturday. Probably out drunk and diving.

Hey Eric,
Due to legal reasons, we are unable to use something like that. Thanks for your offer though. It is the thought that counts.;)

Yes, and there is also the question that what can one of those spikes do that a minigun cant!!?????????? :p

Reed and Dark Nemesis, my Brain Spikes are basically last ditch shanks ground from 5/8" rods. The rods are a mix of Nylon 6-6 and Carbon Fiber (very light and strong). I just make them for fun. Here's a few pics, but these are unfinished. Once I polish the grinds, they return to the nice carbon fiber pattern that you see here on the unground portions of the rod. My Commander is in the pics for size comparison.

BTW, the white piece in the top photo is "FrostBite", which is a proto in the rough. It's chisel ground T6 Aluminum 1/4" stock, with white Nylon 6-6 scales. Although it's aluminum, it's surprisingly hard. Once the proto is complete, I'm going to do one in Titanium just for grins, with a concealex sheath.

Those spikes are sweet! So is that little AL knife. Going to have to learn to grind right, then I can do that stuff.
Thanks for the photos,
Reed

Wow, those are cool!

Very nice Eric. Good name as well.

Ross, buddy, I just got done grinding out your spikes, and yours are the new and improved model due to my new 440 grit sanding belts. The finishes are now ultra-slick, as opposed the the Brain Spike that I gave to Mick at Blade West, which is crappy-rough. But hey, he got a proto, so I guess it all pans out in the end. Anyway, your spikes will go out tomorrow. Feel free to try and break them. I doubt that you can, but if you do, I'll make more. :)
