I got a SPOT pe for christmas and I gotta say it was perfect for opening gifts. The blade sliced thru those plastic box covers that are put over everything from cd players to dvd setslike it wasnt there and was really controlable . Everybody started borrowing it and I had to keep an eye on it so it didnt accidently go home with someone else ;)

My MeerKat was doing the rounds for opening presents when I was at the neighbours house, cut thru everything thrown at it and was still sharp as......

My Jester was a crowd pleaser opening presents. My Caly Jr gets to stay sharp while the Jester does the light work.

Same here, I brought my Calypso Jr. and my Jester. I was too scared to let them use the Calypso Jr., so the Jester was passed around to open all the gifts.

I was going to start a thread about the Jester, but what I had to say seems appropriate here. I think the Jester is an unsung hero. I carry (not a chore, since it's lighter than a popcorn fart) it at work (hospital, so no "weapons"). Despite the environment, the need for a knife is high. Reagent packages all come with those fiberglass packing bands around them, with various other wraps and lids which must be removed. My Jester gets a workout there, and then at Christmas, as mentioned above. It would be great if you could get a Jester in VG-10 (PLEASE!). I found one with black micarta handles, but still AUS-6 :( Still, it's a great little knife, great ergos for a knife this small. I just have to sharpen it frequently.

All that cardboard really dulled the edge. I wish the Jester had VG10 steel and was flat ground. That would be a great knife to carry in my watch pocket.

My blue Dodo and my dad's SS Cricket were in constant demand among all the present openers this Christmas.

My dad didn't mind everyone using his Cricket because one of his presents was a Calypso Jr. ;)

I love my Navigator. Am I the only one? It was big enough to not get misplaced, cut through everything, and stay sharp (VG-10). Too bad they were discontinued. On the up side, I still have three left.
