I'm looking at the Attach file: Maximum size: 102400 bytes, and I figure that's 102MB for a pic. I've tried several pics and have gotten the message the pic I'm trying to attach is too big. But I've seen some other pics attached here that are friggin huge. I'm all for limiting the size of pics posted here because these huge pics just slow down a thread, and most of them stink anyway.

I just want to know what the deal is?
Are some limited to the size of the attachments and others not?

Spark,

As long as we are on the subject of pictures. I tried to edit a previous post and while it allows me to remove information the system will not allow me to upload an updated picture. Can we do anything to tweak this.

Also, I tried to delete the original post, but I was not allowed.

BTW, Phill I read it as 102 Kbits not Mbits. I save some of my pics at a lower resolution and it worked just fine. The screen doesn't have the ability to show high resolution anyway.

Have fun

That's 102 Kilobytes, not Megabytes.

My mistake, but there all still pics being attached larger than 102KB.
How come?
How is that possible?

Maybe it is not because of their size in KB but because of their size in pixels? I had similar problem with Photopoint (when it was working).

All of the pics I use for the web are 72dpi.

I want to know how some people are getting away with atttaching huge pics? It's not because I want to post huge pics I find them annoying and I'm hoping Spark will restrict the file size for everyone.

Spark, how about an answer???

Pics are suppossed to be no more than 640x480 in size.

I'd be happy if I could get files to upload but have had zero luck. One more try: 34KB .gif file, 260x190:

What size would you say HD Charlie's pic is in this thread?

Hmm ... I'd guess about 1024x679 ... and 82.2K.

I don't know ... does anybody mind how big it is on the screen as long as the filesize is reasonable? With the new software it won't give the whole thread the Horizontal Scroll of Death any more (which I for one appreciate vastly, btw). It doesn't take long to download 82K with a 56K modem, not even with a 28.8 modem.
