Hey spearhead, let me know ahead of time if you are going to make it to blade west. You have made me self concious about being too nice to my "user" badger. If you are going to show up i was thinking of tying my badger to a piece of rope and dragging it 500 miles behind my truck so it looks "used" enough for you.

:p :D

If you keep being so nice to that blade, I'm concerned it may drive to Blade West alone to find a new and more abusive friend... :p :D

Sorry, my badger just cuddled up next to me to watch some tv. He likes the "Good Life".

;)

Awwwwww....... isn't that cute.:p

He only feels that way because he's never gotten a good beatin'. Bring him to the show. I'll introduce him to the dark side. :D

I'll bring him with me just for you, so i can show him what happens to bad badgers, they go to alaska for punishment. I'm sure he'll be a good badger from now on. :D

SpearHog,

You might be on something here. . . (Not "onto" something. . . simply "On" something). . . you could open a Summer Camp for lightly abused Busse blades. . . You could have Cliff Stamp come in as a "guest beater"!!! :D

my badgers are horrified at this talk, i thought this was a gp rated forum?

and i didn't mean gp busse either

That's a great idea. I can send my SH-E up there for some punishment so it doesn't look so new. Most of my sheaths show more wear than my knives. Seems since i could afford good knives i don't have the time to go out nearly as much. I rent a room from a friend in a pretty "PC" city so i don't get much chance to use big knives around the house. Back when i was getting out of town on a regular basis i most often abused an estwing hatchet. I still have it and i'm sure spearhead would approve of it's current condition. I really need to work on it though to put it back in fighting shape. Might just use my SH-E to split kindling instead of a hatchet just for something diffrent next time out.

Yup. They work well for that.;) Do they let you make and use kindling in Kalifornia? You know... the fragile environment and all... :D

Spear, Oh yeah. . . .Cliff's got issues. . . . and you don't? Sure,no loud noises around you huh??? . . . . It's just that the thought of you two together in the same frozen wilderness up north could theoretically get all of the wild game to head towards Ohio. . .

Think of it as one big deer drive!!!!!

Jerry

You can use kindling found on the forrest floor as long as it doesn't hurt the feelings of the trees standing next to it

Yeah... I'm a shell-shocked bastid.  :D

I don't think Ohio is ready for moose and caribou. On the other hand, there are some ravens you could have... :D

And thinking of that... is it even legal to "use" a knife named for an animal... like a Badger? Doesn't that offend the PETA types and the I-don't-eat-anything-that-casts-a-shadow crowd?

It's ok to use a knife in the forrest. Most of the Tree hugging PETA types probably rarely get out to where i go anyway so what they don't know won't hurt me. That's why i only show pictures of mint knives in public forums, i don't want them building a case on me......shuuuush don't tell on me
