i need a knife and a couple of high speed t-shirts! i emailed you guys about a week ago and called your answering machine today (1-13-01) and left a message. i’m interested in you guys building me a "BT" seal 2000 minus the markings "seal 2000". i was contemplating between the "WB" and the "BT" until i found this photo:

I as well was debating whether or not to get the BT or WB until I saw a Japanese Seal 2000. I still think it would be neat to have a tiger striped WB though.. I guess that'll have to wait.

I'm going in to the Marine Corps ( shipping 22 ) and I'm going to order one before I go to basic so maybe I'll be able to have it 3 months after I'm a Marine

Hey Joe~
Yeah, they are excellent pics... hope you don't mind me using them. Why did you choose to go with 3/16" stock instead of the 1/4"? I think I would have to prefer the thicker blade on mine. Anyway, that has to be the best looking Seal 2000 I’ve seen, how does one get so lucky to own one of the those? I emailed M.A.C. co. and this is what they said:

Dear Aaron,

Sorry for late response.
We can sell them in Japanese Yen only.
That cost is 98,000Yen without shipping fee.
(about US $820)
Probably,we will have BT2000 in stock on Feb 2001.

Thank you!

I still don't know what shipping would cost (quite a bit from what i understand) and if Customs would screw with it on the way in. I could have one made probably for half the price out here without the Seal 2000 markings on it (standard "BT" with serrations and tiger stripes). Tough call!

ps. CatatonicDismay~ good luck and stick it out no matter how rough it gets! Semper Fi!

Given the apparently huge interest in the Seal 2000, maybe Strider will start selling them in the states as a regular model. I think they should. Seal 2001!

Catatonic, I just got a WB with Tiger stripes last week. It is one sweet looking knife! I'll try and post pics soon. Now if I could only figure out all the things this Tac sheath is supposed to do.

Hey Kumdo~
I’m with you all the way on that one! There seems to be quite a few inquiries on the seal 2000. I’m sure if the guys offered it in the United States that it would go over real well. Seal 2001? I don't know.... wishful thinking maybe.

ps. Cooper, I would be interested in seeing some pics of that tiger striped "WB".

Hi Killerkain,
No problem at all for the PICs.
The 3/16" stock SEAL 2000 BT came from STRIDER as a gift for me. I was surprised when I opened the box because I had no idea they will sent me this one.

3/16" stock makes this BT ligter and faster than normal BT also provides enough power for prying and digging.I have handled many STRIDER and the grip of 3/16" version fits my hand really well. I know for strength and durability the 1/4" stock maybe a better choice. But in my case, the 3/16" BT is No.1 choice.

I really love the tiger stripe finish. Very COOL and durable.
