Finally bought a new knife. I wanted a master hunter, but after I ordered it , it ended up not being in stock. So I went with the next best thing, A Buck :)
So here it is

And odly enough, while I was holding the knife I ran my thumb up the Spine of the blade and it cut my thumb . I wasen't even into buck knives, but I was told they do a good job on their 420HC, so I went ahead and bought on and dont regret it.

I am a HUGE Kalinga fan and I am buying one of their LE models. Buck does will with there 420 and hopefully it holds up good for ya. Nice purchase:thumbup: :D

That's a beauty:thumbup: For me there is nothing like a 4"+- drop point blade.

Good score. I like your Wetterling. Is that the hatchet?

Buck makes very good knives for the money IMHO. The 420 haters can keep on hating it.... not the best steel... but certainly not the worst.

Yeah, tarmix its a large wetterlings hunters axe, I just sanded the head of course. But it has a 17 inch handle.

Looks nice!
so what is the balde length, overall length, grind, etc??

We need tech specs! :D

It seems they do a good job on cutting thumbs, LOL. That is a BEAUTIFUL knife. Now what are you going to get for your second? ;)

His second, when Fonly psoted his PSK he must have had more steel there than a GM factory!!

But, true, what's next on your list??

To be Honest, I think something big. The longest knife I have is a Ka-bar 8" tanto, so im thinking something like a HI Kukri, the WW2 or somthing like that.

Apparently Paul Bos and Buck have 420-HC figured out to a T. Gives me a chuckle when folks are surprised how well that "cheap" steel can perform. Nice choice! And you're right, a nice kukri would go with that just right.

I know what you mean gibson, And if people dont buy bucks because of the 420-HC, it just leaves more bucks for the rest of us who know it will hold up well.

I do have one question though, does any one how far the hidden tang runs through the handle?
