Ex Wingnut here in San Antonio. Does anyone have a decent place they can help me out with for some hunting? I'll pay reasonable price or trade/barter.

Check the classifieds of the Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio papers. Your best bet is a private lease. There is very little public land in Texas, except for parts of East Texas. The public land tends to be very heavily hunted. There are also opportunities to draw for special hunts from TPWD. Unfortunately, these amount to once in a lifetime hunts due to the number of people entering the draw.

I don't live in Texas anymore, but it would help those that do if you gave them a bit more information like- what are you wanting to hunt?
 
tatooblade you need to be cautious in buying into hunt property. you do'nt know who else is on there with you. more importantly how many other people are on the same lease. i think it would be wiser to try to locate property thru friends or buddies where you work.
