I need to buy a leather hole punch for making adjustments to horse tack. I want something American made and high quality...I don't want to buy another one in a few years. What is your recommendation?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Cactus Paddle! I am hoping I can track one down at a local tack shop. Otherwise, I will order one.

I just always grab whatever is hanging on the shelf - from when I had tack to now. My current one is actually the cheaper nickel plated Osborne model, like $18 vs their $75 model.

Yup. If you want American get the Osborne. Might check Weaver as well. Tractor Supply sells a decent forged rotary punch (by the tack), but it may be Chinese.

I saw one recently that had a copper anvil (as opposed to brass) that was supposed to be very easy on the tubes. Of course both could be replaced, but it's probably easier and possibly less expensive to replace the anvil.

Edited to add- I have an old HF rotary and hand punch Tandy tools from years ago when I did other leather work. They work fine so I haven't replaced them. When I do I'll probably go with the Osborne.

If you want something quality - Weaver is a great place to start.

I am not sure how much you are going to use it - so a craftool may be just fine for you.
