The kukri is a super catch all field/utility knife. You can chop down a tree, reduce it to kindling, make "tent stakes", drive "tent stakes" or wedge it in a tree and hang your hammock from it.
I know a guy who spent some time with the Ghurkas, and saw all this stuff happen.
Combine that type of utility with the "Wauseon Wonder" and look out!
